 The American Federation of Musicians (AFM) is the largest organization in the world dedicated to the interests of professional musicians. You don’t have to be a union member or professional musician to help fight for musicians. If you care about music and musicians, you can join Friends of AFM. Friends of AFM will help you keep informed and speak up on important issues.

| Local 30-73 will once again host a meeting for both union and nonunion freelance/nightclub musicians. While the turnout was less than we hoped for at our initial meeting, the conversation among those who attended was informative. If you are interested in discussing the current conditions under which freelance musicians work, particularly in area nightclubs, with goal of attempting to improve those conditions, make an effort to joins us. By the way, vocalists are also welcome. We were pleased that a couple of our area’s fine vocalists attended the first meeting. |
