The Capri Big Band's mission is to interject a positive role in the community by encouraging and improving musical opportunities in the Minneapolis community. ••••••••••••••• Mission Statement: The Capri Big Band is located in the Capri Theatre 2027 West Broadway Ave North in Minneapolis Minnesota. Our mission is to interject a positive role in the community by encouraging and improving musical opportunities for youth in the Minneapolis community. We are committed to accomplishing this by training through Voice and Instrumentation in Traditional,, Contemporary American, Jazz and Gospel Music. Our workshop is culturally diverse consisting of local men and women professionals, youth and physically disabled musicians, who are willing to donate their time in teaching and training. ••••••••••••••• The Capri Big Band's live performances include the Freedom Jazz Festival, the Rondo Festival, the Father Hennepin Festival, the Victoria Neighborhood Festival and of course, the Capri Theatre.
