The Minnesota Opera Integrated Multimedia Agreement

On February 26th the MN Opera Orchestra ratified the AFM Integrated Multimedia Agreement. For orchestras with collective bargaining agreements the AFM IMA supercedes and/or replaces a number of previously individual AFM media Agreements – the Symphony, Opera, Ballet Audio-Visual Agreement, the Live Recording Agreement, and the Internet Agreement. This Agreement allows Employers to exploit a broad range of covered media and release programs on multiple platforms with relative ease while recognizing the value of the creative contribution of the musicians involved. MN Opera contemplates international theatrical releases and other increased media exposure of upcoming Opera presentations utilizing this agreement.
